The Gatehouse

The Gatehouse is on Heritage Park, which is a golf and leisure estate near Bridlington. It's a lodge, so it's all on one level which is handy. You get your own patio with a bit of garden.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating. Everything is included: bedding, towels, electricity. There's a washing machine and dishwasher. You can bring one dog.

It's very close to the coast. A couple of minutes' walk through some woods brings you out onto the cliff path between Bridlington and Flamborough Head. There's a gate on-site that leads straight into Sewerby Hall and Gardens. Your booking includes a family pass for the park. The land train from there goes down into Bridlington town.

There's a pub and a restaurant about 400 yards away. The shop is a mile.

For things to do, Flamborough Head and its lighthouse are a short drive. The RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs is famous for seabirds, especially puffins in season. The RSPB Bempton Cliffs site has details. The Yorkshire Wolds and Moors are inland if you fancy a drive. Burton Agnes Hall is a nice stately home about twenty minutes away.

One thing to mention is that the place is decorated in a Christmas theme during the festive season. Just so you know.
