The Old Forge Cottage is in Sewerby village. It's behind the old forge building that's been made into a tea room now. You wouldn't really notice the cottage from the road.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. The layout is open plan downstairs.
The pub is a couple of minutes walk away. Good for a pint. There's a restaurant about the same distance. The village shop is half a mile.
You're about a fifteen minute walk from the cliff tops. You can turn left and walk to Bridlington along the coast path, or right towards Danes Dyke and Flamborough. It's a good spot if you've got a dog. The beach at Bridlington is about a mile and a quarter.
Bridlington itself is a proper seaside town. Working harbour, two sandy beaches, the usual arcades and fish and chips. They have a theatre called The Spa that gets some big names.
Sewerby Hall is in the village. Big house, gardens, a small zoo. They have events on. It's worth a look. The RSPB place at Bempton Cliffs isn't far by car if you like seabirds.
Filey and Scarborough are up the coast. You can drive to York in about an hour. It's a full day out.
Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, TV, bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. Golf and fishing are nearby if that's your thing.
