Shire Cottage is on a working farm just outside Bridlington. It's one of six cottages here, all named after horse breeds. The owners live on site and run the farm shop and cafe.
It's a one bedroom cottage, so it sleeps two people. There's one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's clean and has what you need. The layout is open plan downstairs.
You're on a farm, so you'll see and hear the animals. There's a petting area that's popular with children from the other cottages. There's a shared field and a playground out front.
The location is good. You're about a mile from the coast. Bridlington itself has two big beaches and a harbour. The cliff tops at Sewerby are right nearby. You can get a land train from Sewerby Hall down into town and walk back along the top.
For a good walk, the RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs is worth it, especially if you like seabirds. You can see puffins there in season.
Further along the coast, Filey and Scarborough are about half an hour north. Flamborough is closer. To the south, you can get to Hornsea or into Hull within 30 minutes or so. The big stately homes like Burton Agnes and Sledmere are a short drive away.
Facilities wise, it's got the basics: TV, wifi, a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. They have a cot and highchair if you need one. There's a pub and restaurant about 500 yards down the road.
