Gannet Lodge is in Bempton, a few miles from Bridlington. It's a semi-detached barn conversion, so it's got the wooden beams and stone floor you'd expect. It's all on one level, which makes it straightforward.
It sleeps two. There's one bedroom with a super king size bed and an en-suite shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The wood burner is the main feature in the living area. It's very good once you get it going.
The village is quiet. There's a shop about 80 yards away and a pub about 170 yards. Both are fine. The pub does food.
The big thing here is the coast. The RSPB Bempton Cliffs reserve is about a mile and a half away. You can walk it if you don't mind the wind. The views are incredible, especially when the gannets and puffins are nesting. It's worth going even if you're not a serious birdwatcher.
Filey is about five miles south. It's got a good long beach and a proper promenade. Flamborough is closer, about three miles. Bridlington is ten minutes in the car if you need more shops or a different beach.
Further afield, York is about an hour's drive. The historic parts are good for a day out. Scarborough is roughly half an hour north. If you're into steam trains, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway from Pickering is a nice trip, but that's a bit further, maybe 45 minutes to an hour.
Facilities wise: it has a washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. The whole place is wheelchair accessible, with no steps at the entrance and wide doorways. There's a small patio area with a table. It's detached on one side, so it's quiet.
