The Roost

The Roost is on Manor Farm in Buckton. It's one of three cottages around the old farmyard, converted from stables.

It sleeps eight, has four bedrooms and each bedroom has its own bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. There's an enclosed garden that's just for you. The whole farmyard area is shared with the other two cottages. There's a shared garden too with a slide and some outdoor games. There's also a football field and a meadow walk.

The stairs are quite steep, just to warn you. There's parking right outside, and an electric vehicle charger. We've got a highchair and a cot if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.

The owner is into cycling and there's a proper bike store with tools and a wash area. The Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Route is right there.

You can walk to the RSPB Bempton Cliffs in about 25 minutes, or drive it in five. It's good for seeing puffins and other seabirds.

The local pub, The White Horse, is about half a mile away in Bempton. There's a village shop and a post office there too.

Flamborough Head is close for clifftop walks. Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough are all within half an hour by car if you want a beach day. For stately homes, Burton Agnes Hall is nearby and Castle Howard is about 45 minutes. The North York Moors and the Yorkshire Wolds are within easy reach for driving. York is about an hour away.
