This is The Bolthole. It's in a new holiday village called The Bay, near Filey. The village has won awards. It's a modern build, detached from the other cottages.
It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's very well finished and comfortable. The owner puts a lot of effort into the welcome pack, with fresh flowers, coffee pods, cake, and drinks. There are White Company toiletries in the bathrooms.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms with rainfall showers. The main bedroom has a super king memory foam bed. The second room has twin memory foam beds. Both have blackout blinds.
Downstairs is open plan with a wood burner. French doors go out to your own bit of grass with seating and a barbecue. It's decorated for Christmas if you're staying then.
On the village site there's an indoor heated pool, a sauna and steam room, and a gym. There's a café and a pub that does food. There's also a play park, basketball, archery, and they run activities.
It's about a ten minute walk down to the beach. It's a huge sandy beach. When the tide's out you can walk along it to Filey one way or Reighton Gap the other.
Filey itself is three miles away. It's a proper old-fashioned seaside town with shops and places to eat. They've got a train station there too.
You're well placed for a drive out. Scarborough, Bridlington, and Flamborough Head are close. The RSPB at Bempton Cliffs is about fifteen minutes away for the puffins. You can get to York, Hull, or the North York Moors National Park in under an hour.
Facilities are all there: parking, WiFi, towels, washing machine, dishwasher, cot and highchair. The pool and gym are on-site. No pets.
