The Nest - 9 The Landings
The Nest is at number 9, The Landings. It's a holiday apartment in Filey. You're 50 yards from the beach. It's a proper sandy beach, about five miles long.
It's a one bedroom place but it sleeps up to four. There's a double bed and then a sofa bed in the living room. One bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxurious.
The apartment looks out over a green. The kitchen has the basics. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Wi-Fi works fine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
Filey is quiet. It's a traditional seaside town, not changed too much. There's a shop and a pub about 200 yards away. The pub does food.
For walking, the Cleveland Way long-distance path runs right past. The RSPB site at Bempton Cliffs is a short drive north. You can see puffins and gannets there. South, you've got Bridlington and then the big chalk cliffs at Flamborough Head.
Scarborough is about fifteen minutes south by car. Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay are maybe forty minutes north. The North York Moors Railway at Pickering is about half an hour inland. If you want a day trip, York is just over an hour away.
