Apartment 2
This is Apartment 2 in Filey. It's a first-floor apartment, so there's a flight of stairs up to it. You're right by the beach. Out the front door, turn right, and you're on the sand in under a minute.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable. Everything works.
The living area is open plan. There's a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
There's a shop and a pub about 200 yards away. The pub does food. There's golf and sea fishing nearby if that's your thing.
Filey itself is a proper old-fashioned seaside town. It hasn't changed much. The beach is five miles long. At the north end, there's Filey Brigg, which is a rocky outcrop. At the south end, it meets the cliffs at Bempton. The RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs is great for seeing seabirds.
You can drive to Scarborough or Bridlington in about 20 minutes. Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay are a bit further, maybe 45 minutes. The North York Moors are inland. You can get the steam train from Pickering if you want.
For a longer day out, York is just over an hour's drive. So is Hull.
For walking, you're on the Cleveland Way coastal path. The Yorkshire Wolds Way is nearby too.
