Say Shells
Say Shells is a terraced house on a quiet road in Filey. It's not right on the seafront, but you can walk down to the beach in ten minutes, maybe less if you're quick. It's a proper seaside town, not too big.
The house sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The bathroom's upstairs and the ceiling slopes a bit, so watch your head if you're tall. The stairs are fine, just a bit narrow like most houses round here.
You get a garden out the back with a patio and a BBQ. There's a bike store if you bring cycles. Parking is on the street outside, it's usually easy to find a spot.
Filey beach is good, long and sandy. There are shops, cafes, and a few pubs a short walk away. The local North York Moors National Park authority has good information on the area. For a longer walk, the National Trust Yorkshire Coast pages are useful.
If you want to drive out, Scarborough is about fifteen minutes south. Bridlington is twenty minutes or so to the south too. The Yorkshire Wolds are inland, a nice drive. For a grand day out, places like Castle Howard are within an hour.
Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two dogs. There's a highchair if you need it. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but the bathroom and bedrooms are upstairs.
