Reed Cottage

Reed Cottage is in Flixton, in North Yorkshire. It's a barn conversion, so it's a big space. It sleeps nine, which is good for a group or a few families.

There are four bedrooms. Two of them have their own bathrooms, and there's another family bathroom with a bath. Three of the rooms have king size beds and the fourth has three singles.

Downstairs is all open plan, which works well when there's a few of you. The table seats ten. There's a wood burner and a separate snug room if you need to get away for a bit. The kitchen has a double oven. Heating is underfloor, so it's warm.

Outside, the garden is enclosed. There's a hot tub out there. You'll want a dressing gown for that.

There's a pub that does food about 300 yards away. The nearest shop is in Folkton, about three miles.

For getting out and about, you're in a good spot. The coast at Filey or Scarborough is about a 25 minute drive. The North York Moors are just inland. York is under an hour's drive if you fancy a city day.

The cottage is listed as 5 Star, so it's well equipped. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking. You can bring two dogs.
