This is Reed Cottage in Flixton. It's a converted barn, sleeps nine. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
The main living area is open plan. It's a big space with a wood burner. The table seats ten, which is good because there's no separate dining room. There's also a smaller snug room if someone wants a bit of quiet.
Upstairs, three of the bedrooms have king size beds. The fourth has three single beds. Two of the bedrooms have their own shower rooms, and there's a family bathroom with a bath.
It's got underfloor heating downstairs. The wifi works. There's parking. The garden at the back is enclosed, and that's where the hot tub is.
The village has a pub that does food, about a five minute walk away. The nearest shop is in Flixton itself, about three miles.
You're right between the coast and the moors here. The Yorkshire Wolds are on the doorstep for walking. The North York Moors National Park is about a half hour drive. Scarborough and Filey are on the coast, also about half an hour away.
If you fancy a day in a city, York is under an hour's drive. You can book things like the Jorvik Viking Centre in advance, which I'd recommend.
The place is rated 5 Star. It lets you bring two dogs. We have a cot and a highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included.
There's another house on site called Willow Cottage. You can book both together if you have a bigger group.
