Elm Tree Cottage is on our farm in Foxholes, near the coast in North Yorkshire. It's a small, single-storey cottage for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom.
It's been done up well. Everything is on the ground floor, which is handy. You get a private garden at the back, and space for one car to park right outside.
Inside we've kept the cottage feel. There's a woodburning stove for cooler nights, and it comes with WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
The location is quiet. You look out over fields. You'll often see hares in the morning. The shop is two miles away, and the nearest pub is about four miles.
If you like walking, the Yorkshire Wolds Way passes nearby. For the coast, it's a 20-minute drive. Bridlington, Filey, and Scarborough are all between 11 and 13 miles away. The RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs is good for seeing seabirds like puffins.
York is under an hour's drive if you want a day in the city. For local history, English Heritage has a few sites in the area.
There's a similar cottage next door called Willow Tree Cottage. They can be booked together if you're coming with more people.
