Elm Tree Cottage
Elm Tree Cottage is the one attached to the farmhouse here at Cottage Farm, in Foxholes. It's in the middle of fields, honestly, it's very quiet.
It's all on one level, which is handy. One bedroom and a bathroom. The rating is 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and has decent stuff like a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's a wood burner for chilly nights. The garden is yours to use, it's private and gets the sun. You can park one car right outside.
It's proper countryside. You'll see hares in the fields. The Yorkshire Wolds Way is close by if you want to walk. For a shorter stroll, there's a pub about four miles away. The nearest shop is in Wold Newton, two miles.
The coast is about a twenty minute drive. Bridlington is the closest. Filey and Scarborough are a bit further. RSPB Bempton Cliffs is up there too, for the seabirds and puffins.
York takes about an hour to drive to. It's good for a day out if you fancy the Minster or the shops.
Everything's included – bedding, towels. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid. If you've got more people, you can book it with Willow Tree Cottage next door.
