The Stables

The Stables is one of three converted barns on our farm in Langtoft, near Driffield. It's a bungalow, so everything's on one floor. It's built to be properly wheelchair accessible, with wide doorways and grab rails in the wet room. You can get right up to the cooker from a wheelchair.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own ensuite shower room. There's a wood burning stove in the main living area, which is open plan.

Outside, there's an enclosed sun terrace. It's private. There's a hot tub out there too. The garden is enclosed, so it's secure for dogs or kids. We live on site, so if you need anything we're just over in the farmhouse.

You're right on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds here. There are footpaths straight from the gate. Driffield is the nearest proper town, about ten minutes by car. It's got shops and a few pubs. For a bigger day out, York is about 45 minutes away. The coast at Bridlington or Filey is roughly half an hour's drive.

In terms of what's here: all the bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and Wi-Fi. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs.

Useful links for planning: the Welcome to Yorkshire site is a good start, and National Trust Yorkshire has details on nearby places like Sledmere House.
