Brompton Lodge is in Potter Brompton, which is a small hamlet on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds. It's a detached house with its own garden all around it.
The house sleeps nine people. There are five bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped, not luxurious. The rooms are all a good size.
The main thing is it has its own indoor swimming pool. It's heated, so you can use it any time of year. That's the big draw.
There's a farm shop in the hamlet and another one about a mile away. The nearest proper supermarket is about three miles. You've got a local pub within walking distance too.
For days out, you're about ten miles from the coast. Filey has a long, gentle sandy beach. Scarborough is a bit further, with all the usual resort things. The North York Moors are on your doorstep for walking. North Yorkshire Moors Railway in Pickering is about a 30 minute drive. Castle Howard is about 20 minutes away.
York is roughly an hour's drive if you fancy a city day.
In terms of what's here: all the bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking for a few cars on the drive. We can provide a cot and a highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
