Pinecone Lodge

Pinecone Lodge is in a holiday park just outside East Heslerton, down a country lane. It's a modern timber lodge.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One's a king with a walk-in wardrobe and an ensuite shower. The other has twin beds. There's a second shower room as well. The living area is all open plan: kitchen, dining table, and sofas. The doors open out onto a deck with a hot tub.

The place has a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, with things like a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.

You can bring two dogs. There are fields around the park for walks.

The park itself is quiet. It's a good base for seeing the area. Malton is about 15 minutes away by car. They call it Yorkshire's food capital. It has a market, places to eat, and a cookery school.

You're on the edge of the North York Moors. The North York Moors National Park site has walking routes. The heritage steam railway goes from Pickering to Whitby through the middle of it, which is a nice trip.

Castle Howard is roughly 20 minutes away. The coast is about a 30 minute drive. Scarborough, Filey, and Whitby are all in that range. Some beaches have dog restrictions in summer.
