Swallowtail Cottage is in Ebberston. It's a detached cottage, but it's next to our house and the caravan site we run. It's quiet here. The village has a stream that runs right through it.
The cottage sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's all on the ground floor if steps are a problem. The rating is 4 Star, it's comfortable and well looked after.
It's got everything you'd need: a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside and storage if you bring bikes.
There's a pub about five minutes walk away. The nearest shop is in Snainton, about a mile and a half up the road. You can get most things there.
The village has some nice woodland walks that lead straight into Dalby Forest. It's part of the North York Moors National Park. You can walk for miles, or they do mountain bike trails. Bikes are available to hire from the visitor centre.
For the coast, Scarborough is about 20 minutes by car. It's the classic seaside town. Whitby, Filey, and Bridlington are all within about half an hour's drive too if you want to explore.
Pickering is close. That's where the North Yorkshire Moors Railway steam trains are. You can get one all the way to Whitby. The market towns of Malton and Helmsley are also easy to get to.
No pets, sorry. If there's a bigger group, we have another cottage next door called Cow Pasture Cottage. You can book them together.
