Swallowtail Cottage
Swallowtail Cottage is in Ebberston. It's a detached cottage next to our house and the caravan site. It's for two people.
The cottage has four stars. It's small and compact, everything's on the ground floor. There's one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got an open plan living area.
The village has a stream running through it, with little stone-walled gardens. There's a pub about five minutes walk away. The nearest shop is in Snainton, which is about a mile and a half drive.
You're in a good spot here. Dalby Forest is right on the edge of the village. You can walk straight up from the cottage into the woods. There's a small stone monument up there called Alfred's Tower. The trails go on into the forest proper, which is part of the North York Moors National Park. You can hire mountain bikes at the visitor centre if you want.
For the coast, Scarborough is about half an hour's drive. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway runs from Pickering, which is ten minutes away. You can get the steam train to Whitby from there.
Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and wifi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. Sorry, no pets.
