Cherry Laurel
Cherry Laurel is a one-bedroom cottage in Thornton le Dale. It sleeps two. It's in our garden, but it's entirely separate with its own front door. The garden is enclosed and you can use the patio area with the table and chairs.
It's a 5 Star place, which means it's been finished to a high standard. It's all on the ground floor, so no stairs to worry about. There's an open plan living area with a wood burner. We leave a small welcome pack with tea and coffee for when you arrive. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. We include all bedding and towels. You can park right outside.
One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's also a bike storage shed if you need it. The cottage has an electric vehicle charger.
Thornton-le-Dale is a small village. There's a pub a few minutes' walk away. It's about a mile from Pickering, where you'll find more shops, pubs, and a Co-op supermarket.
You're on the edge of the North York Moors here. For walking, you can be on the moorland paths in a very short drive. The North York Moors Railway steam trains run from Pickering to Grosmont and Whitby. Whitby is about a 40-minute drive. Scarborough is about half an hour.
