West Wood Hideaway
West Wood Hideaway is in Wrelton, a small village just outside Pickering. It's a single storey lodge, so everything is on one level. It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom.
It's got a 5 Star rating. It's been done to a high standard. All the bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, and Wi-Fi. Parking is right outside.
The local pub is about twenty yards away. They do food. The nearest shop for basics is about a mile and a half away in Pickering.
You can walk straight out the door into the woods and up towards Cropton Forest. For a proper day out, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway starts in Pickering, three miles away. It goes all the way to Whitby.
You're right on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. The coast, places like Scarborough and Whitby, is about a 30 minute drive. York is under an hour away. It's a good base for seeing the area.
