The Cottage
The Cottage is in Sinnington. It's on the village green. It's a stone-built semi-detached place.
It sleeps six people. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean. You can bring up to two dogs.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have pets. There's parking right there. You get bedding and towels. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher, and the wifi works.
The stairs are a typical cottage staircase. They're a bit steep. Just something to be aware of.
The village itself is quiet. There's a pub about 350 yards away, the Fox and Rabbit. They do food. There's also a micro bakery in the village. For a bigger shop, you'll need to drive about three miles.
You can walk straight from the door into the North York Moors. The North York Moors National Park site has good walking routes. Beadlam farm shop is nearby for local produce.
Within half an hour you can get to Helmsley or Pickering. Pickering has the North Yorkshire Moors Railway steam trains. Helmsley has a castle and good shops. Rievaulx Abbey is about a 20 minute drive. The coast at Scarborough or Whitby is roughly an hour away.
