Keldholme Shepherds Hut

Keldholme Shepherds Hut is just outside Kirkbymoorside. It's a single hut on its own, with a separate little hut for the shower room attached to it.

It sleeps two. One bed, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The bed is at one end and the kitchen area and wood burner are at the other. It's all one space, so it's cosy.

There's a proper shower and toilet in the attached hut, so you don't have to go outside. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you bring a dog. There's a covered deck with seating and a firepit with a barbecue.

Kirkbymoorside is about half a mile away. There's a shop and a couple of pubs there. Helmsley is about ten minutes by car. It's a nice market town with a big square.

For days out, you're right on the edge of the North York Moors. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway runs from Pickering to Whitby. Whitby, Scarborough, and Robin Hood's Bay are all within about 45 minutes' drive. York is about 40 minutes away.

Facilities: it has a wood burner, a TV, wifi, a small kitchen with a two-ring hob and a combi microwave. Parking is right next to the hut. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
