Keldholme Shepherds Hut is near Kirkbymoorside. It's a 4 Star-rated glamping hut, so it's comfortable but it's still a hut. It sleeps two.
Inside is all one room. There's a double bed, a small sofa and a wood burner. The kitchen bit has a two-ring hob, a combi microwave and a fridge. The shower and toilet are in a separate, smaller hut attached to the back. You go outside to get to it, which is fine in summer but worth knowing if you're here in the colder months.
Outside, there's a deck with a cover and seating. There's also a separate bit with a firepit and a barbecue. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing a dog. We accept one dog.
Kirkbymoorside is about half a mile away for a shop and a pub. Helmsley is close too, it's a nice market town.
You're on the edge of the North York Moors. There are walking trails straight from the door. For a steam train, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway is nearby. The coast at Whitby or Robin Hood's Bay is about a 40-minute drive. York is under 40 minutes in the car the other way.
Included in the price: bedding, towels, WiFi, and parking right by the hut. The wood for the burner and the firepit isn't included, you can get that locally.
