Pheasant Lodge is on a site called Keld Spring Lodge Retreat, just outside Helmsley. It's a modern timber lodge. Sleeps four in two bedrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-finished and comfortable.
You walk in into an open plan living area. It's a decent space to come back to. The kitchen has what you need, including a dishwasher. There's a dining table for four. The main bedroom has a kingsize bed and an ensuite shower room. The second bedroom has twins. There's another bathroom with a shower.
Outside, there's a wraparound deck with seating. The view is over fields. It's a good spot in the summer.
The site is quiet. Helmsley is about four miles away for shops, cafes, and a few pubs. There's a pub in Wombleton village, about a mile away, which you can walk to. It does food. The North York Moors National Park is right there for walking. Rievaulx Abbey is close by and worth a visit.
For a day out, York is about a 45-minute drive. The coast, like Scarborough, is about 50 minutes away.
Facilities: parking right outside, WiFi, all bedding and towels are included. No pets. It's a good base if you want to explore the area without being right in the middle of a town.
