Blacksmiths Cottage is in Gillamoor, North Yorkshire. It's a detached place, single storey. So no stairs at all. Sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom.
It used to be the village blacksmiths. The old forge fireplace is still there, which is the main feature. You get the oak beams and brickwork you'd expect. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after.
The village is small and quiet. The local pub is about two minutes walk. They do food and local ales. For shops and more places to eat, Kirkbymoorside is three miles away.
Gillamoor is famous for the 'surprise view' on the edge of the village. It's a proper panoramic look over Douthwaite Dale towards the moors. Good for a short walk from the cottage.
You're right on the edge of the North York Moors. Helmsley and Thirsk are both within a half hour drive for a day out. Lots of walks and bike trails straight from the door. Coastal places like Whitby or Scarborough are about an hour away.
For visitor attractions, you've got Rievaulx Abbey and Castle Howard both within about 30 minutes. Nunnington Hall is a bit closer.
Facilities: there's parking, a TV, bedding and towels are included, and the woodburning stove works. No pets. It's all electric.
