Wren Lodge is in Nawton. It's a detached wooden lodge, one of five on a quiet little site. It looks out over fields from the verandah.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and clean. It's not a show home, it's a holiday place.
The layout is open plan inside. You get a patio with furniture and your own bit of garden. There's parking right next to it. Bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi, a cot and a highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
A local pub is about a five minute walk away. There's a good fish and chip shop and a restaurant about the same distance. A farm shop and cafe is half a mile up the road.
For days out, Helmsley is three miles away. It's a nice market town with a castle. Kirkbymoorside is about the same distance. Rievaulx Abbey and Castle Howard are both within about ten miles. The North York Moors railway at Pickering is a short drive away.
It's about 25 miles to York. That probably takes 40 minutes in the car. You've got the Minster, the Railway Museum, and all the shops there. If you want the coast, Scarborough is about a 40 minute drive.
