Bridge House
Bridge House is on the Rye Bridge at the edge of Helmsley market square. It's a stone house, one of a pair, and it’s Grade II listed.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms, with an extra wet room on the ground floor too. It's a 5 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-finished. There's parking for one car at the back.
You get the garden to yourself. It runs down from the house to the river. It's secluded and looks out over the water.
The location is handy. You're about 100 yards from the shop, and a pub and restaurant are 500 yards away. You can walk to Helmsley Castle and the entrance to Duncombe Park in a few minutes.
For walking, the North York Moors National Park is right there, starting from your door. There's an open-air swimming pool in town during the summer, and golf nearby.
For a day out, York is about 40 minutes' drive. The coast, like Whitby or Robin Hood's Bay, is just under an hour. The Yorkshire Dales are a bit further, maybe an hour and a half.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair.
