Ristbrow Farm
Ristbrow Farm is near Hawnby, deep in the North York Moors. It's a Grade II listed farmhouse from the late 1700s, detached and part of the Hawnby Estate. The views are over fields and woods, towards the moorland. It feels very quiet.
It sleeps twelve. Six bedrooms, with three king-size beds and three twins. There are four bathrooms, one is an en-suite. The stairs are original, so they're a bit uneven and steep in parts.
The kitchen is big, with an Aga and a normal oven and hob. There's a large table in there. The utility room is handy for boots and coats. The main living room has a wood burner and a big TV. There's also a separate snug with another TV and a piano.
Outside, there's a big enclosed garden and a courtyard. The hot tub is in the orchard. The property has automatic electric gates at the drive. You can bring up to three dogs.
It's a working farm, so you'll see sheep and sometimes tractors. The nearest pub and shop are about a mile away in Hawnby. There are other pubs within five miles.
You're right in the middle of the moors for walking. Helmsley is about a fifteen-minute drive, that's got a castle, shops, and cafes. For a day out, Whitby and the coast is roughly half an hour. The North York Moors National Park site is good for planning. The Rievaulx Abbey ruins are also close by.
Facilities: All bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, cot, and highchair. WiFi is provided. There's parking for several cars on the gravel drive.
