Todd's Pasture
Todd's Pasture is near Hawnby, which is in the North York Moors National Park. It's a detached stone farmhouse from the 1600s.
It sleeps eight people in four bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. There's a level entrance at the back, which might be useful if stairs are an issue. The main door at the front has a flight of steps up to it.
It's a big house. The kitchen is very large, with an Aga, a wood burner, and a high ceiling with beams. There's a separate dining room and a good-sized living room. The garage has been made into a games room with table tennis, darts, and table football.
Two bedrooms are on the ground floor. Upstairs there are two more. The beds are all zip-and-link, so you can have them as super kings or twins. Everything is done to a high standard, so it's comfortable. There's a wood-fired hot tub outside.
The village of Hawnby is about a mile away. It's very small. Helmsley is about eight miles drive, and that's your main town for shops, cafes, and pubs. York is roughly half an hour to the south.
The coast, like Whitby, is about 20 miles east. For walks, you're right in the National Park. Useful links if you're planning trips: North York Moors National Park and English Heritage for Helmsley Castle.
