The Dreamer's Hut is near Hawnby, in the North York Moors. It's a shepherd's hut on the edge of an orchard. The view from the deck looks out over fields and a valley called Ladhill Ghyll.
The hut sleeps two. One bedroom with a kingsize bed. One bathroom with a shower over the bath. It has a wood burner and a small kitchen. Everything's included, bedding, towels, electricity. You get wifi and a TV. Pets are welcome, a maximum of two.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well put together, comfortable and warm. It's a small space, but it's all you need.
The village pub is about a five minute walk. It serves food. The village shop is a mile away in the next hamlet. For a bigger shop, Helmsley is six miles east.
Helmsley has good shops, cafes, and a castle. There's also Rievaulx Abbey about ten minutes from there, which is worth seeing. For walking, you're right in it. The Cleveland Way and The Inn Way are both accessible from here. The North York Moors National Park site has maps and ideas.
Things to be aware of: it's down a track. The bath is outside on the deck, under a cover. It's wood-fired. That's a feature, but it takes a while to heat up. The stairs up to the sleeping area are more like a ladder. They're fine, but you need to be steady on your feet.
