Swiss Cottage is in Rievaulx, in North Yorkshire. It's a detached thatched cottage from the 1600s, I think it's the oldest one in the village. It looks out over the valley towards Rievaulx Abbey.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. The living room and kitchen both have good views. The stairs are what you'd expect for a cottage this age.
It's quite a quiet spot. The nearest shop and pub are about two and a half miles away in Helmsley. You'll need a car. The cottage has its own garden and parking.
Rievaulx Abbey is right there in the valley. It's a ruin managed by English Heritage, you can walk to it. Helmsley is a proper market town with a castle and everything. For a longer walk, you can get onto the Cleveland Way. The North York Moors are on the doorstep.
Inside, there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and storage for bikes. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. We've also got a cot and a highchair if needed.
