Angel Cottage is in Oswaldkirk, near Helmsley. It's a bungalow, so everything is on one level. It's about two hundred years old, built from local stone. You park right outside.
It sleeps five in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom, which is a wet room. One bedroom has a standard double bed and an electric single bed. The other is a twin. The whole place is set up for accessibility, with wide doors, grab rails, and a level entrance.
You walk straight into the kitchen. It's got an old stone floor that runs through most of the cottage. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. The main room is big, with a high ceiling and original beams. The windows are large and look out over the fields at the back. There's a wood-burning stove and a TV. The decor is plain and comfortable.
Outside, there's a garage for bike storage. At the back, there's a lawned area with a table and a gas barbecue. The view is nice. The garden isn't fenced.
Helmsley is about three miles away. It's a good market town with shops, pubs, and a castle. The North York Moors National Park starts pretty much from the door. It's good walking and cycling country. The coast at places like Robin Hood's Bay is about a 40-minute drive. York is under an hour away.
Facilities include all bedding and towels, a cot, a highchair, WiFi, and an electric vehicle charger. No pets, sorry.
