Moorhouse Farm Cottage is on our farm. It's detached. You're on your own out there, with a view over the Howardian Hills. It's an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so it's very quiet.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It has a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. It's not a show home.
The garden is a proper size, about a quarter of an acre. It's fenced in, so kids and dogs are safe. There's a patio with furniture. You can see sheep in the fields.
Inside, it's open plan downstairs. There's a wood burner for colder nights. We leave logs for you. It's got Wi-Fi and a TV. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher.
You're on a working farm. That means you'll see tractors sometimes. You'll hear sheep. It's a proper country place.
The nearest pub is about a mile and a half away in Wiganthorpe. It does food. Helmsley is a ten mile drive. It's a nice market town with a good National Trust property there.
You can get to York in about half an hour. It's a straight route. Once you're there, you've got the Minster, the Railway Museum, the lot. The coast at Scarborough is about an hour.
The facilities are listed, but the main ones: bedding and towels are included, there's parking right outside, we can provide a cot and highchair, and you can bring two well-behaved dogs. There's bike storage if you need it.
