Snowdrop Cottage

Snowdrop Cottage is in Welburn, a village about 15 minutes drive from York. It's a two bedroom cottage that sleeps four. It's got a 4 Star rating and they call it a luxury property, which means it's been done up nicely inside. There's one bathroom with a shower.

The stairs are cottage stairs, so they're a bit steep, but they're fine. Two bedrooms upstairs. One has a kingsize four poster bed, the other is a double.

You can bring one dog. The garden is enclosed, which is good for that. There's a hot tub and a firepit out there. The garden gets the sun.

Right across the road there's a pub that does food. Opposite that is a cafe and deli. You can get a coffee or pick up things for lunch. It's useful.

Castle Howard is very close, maybe a five minute drive. It's worth a visit. The Yorkshire Arboretum is just opposite the castle gates, good for a walk.

Malton is about ten minutes away. They have a lot of food shops and hold food festivals. Pickering is maybe 15 minutes. You can get the steam train from there into the North York Moors National Park. Dalby Forest is good for cycling or walking, about 20 minutes drive.

York is 15 minutes by car. You can park and walk the walls or see the Minster. The railway station in Malton has trains to the coast at Scarborough if you fancy a day at the beach.

In the cottage there's a wood burning stove, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on the drive.
