Highfield Barn

Highfield Barn is near Scackleton. It's a converted granary, attached to our house. Sleeps two, one bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable.

The main thing is the view. You're up on the first floor, so you look out over fields. It's very quiet. You get your own little patio area to sit outside.

We keep chickens, so we can give you some fresh eggs when you arrive.

It's a good spot for walking. You're right in the Howardian Hills, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Castle Howard is basically on the doorstep. Hovingham village and Helmsley market town are close. The coast and the Yorkshire Dales are both about an hour's drive if you fancy a day trip.

York is 18 miles away. That's easy for a day out.

There's a shop and a pub in the next village, about three miles. You'll probably want a car.

Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, TV, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
