Highfield Barn is in Scackleton, which is part of the Howardian Hills. It's a stone building that was a granary. It's attached to our house, but you have your own space and entrance.
It's for two people. One bedroom upstairs, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, not huge, but it's been done up well. You get the whole first floor.
Outside, there's a private patio area with a table. We have a big garden you're welcome to use, it looks out over the fields. We keep chickens, so we often give guests some fresh eggs.
It's a proper rural spot. The nearest shop and pub are in Terrington, about three miles away. You'll need a car.
For things to do, you're right in the middle of it. Castle Howard is very close. The market town of Helmsley is about a 20 minute drive. York is 18 miles away, so you can be there in half an hour or so. The coast, like Scarborough or Filey, is about an hour's drive. The North York Moors are on the doorstep.
What's here: there's a washing machine, WiFi, TV, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs. There's a bike store if you need it.
