Mill Cottage
This is Mill Cottage in Stillington. It's a detached cottage, converted from an old farm building. It's in the grounds of a mill, next to the River Foss.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. There's a multi-fuel stove for the fire, and plenty of free parking.
The garden is enclosed. It's a private space with a patio area and a BBQ. You get a view of the river from there.
Stillington village is about a ten minute walk. There's a community shop with a post office, two pubs that do food, and a couple of takeaways. It's handy.
For walks, you can start right from the cottage. The Howardian Hills (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) are on the doorstep. For bigger days out, Castle Howard and Nunnington Hall are nearby. York is about a twenty minute drive.
The coast is within reach for a day trip. Scarborough, Whitby and Filey are all about an hour's drive.
Inside, it's open plan downstairs. There's a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. Sorry, no pets.
