This is Ash Lodge. It's near Nawton, which is on the edge of the North York Moors. It's a single-storey lodge, so everything's on one level, which is handy. It's one of six on the same site.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating, which means it's kept to a good standard. Everything's open plan.
The village has a pub, an Indian restaurant, and a fish and chip shop. There's an award-winning farm shop about a mile away. For a bigger shop, you'd go to Kirkbymoorside or Helmsley, which are both about three miles in opposite directions. Both have shops, pubs, and places to eat.
You're right on the edge of the North York Moors. You can walk from the door straight into the countryside. For a proper day out, North York Moors National Park has everything mapped out. Pickering has the steam railway, which is about a 15-minute drive. Castle Howard is about 20 minutes away.
York is about 45 minutes by car. The coast at Scarborough or Whitby is about 40 minutes.
Facilities: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring one dog. Parking is right outside.
