Bank Top Cottage is in Cropton, on the edge of the North York Moors. It's a detached bungalow, so everything's on one level. It's next to our house, but it's private. You get your own garden area. It faces our field.
It sleeps two in one bedroom. There's one bathroom that's en suite. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's quite spacious inside. The layout is open plan. The owners wrote the description, but to be straight, it's just a normal TV with decent speakers. Nothing cinema-sized.
The local pub is about 100 yards down the lane. We go there ourselves. They do food. The shop is in Kirkbymoorside, about four miles away.
Cropton Forest is right here for walking or cycling. The North York Moors National Park starts pretty much at the end of the lane. The roads across the moors to places like Whitby are scenic, but narrow in places. You can be on the coast at Whitby in about 40 minutes.
For stuff to do, Flamingo Land is 20 minutes away. Castle Howard is about 25 minutes. York is a 40-minute drive one way, Scarborough or Robin Hood's Bay about the same the other way.
In terms of what's here, it has a woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, and WiFi. There's parking right outside. We can provide a cot and highchair. Pets are allowed, up to two.
