Featherstone Cottage

Featherstone Cottage is in Newton on Rawcliffe, which is a quiet village not far from Pickering. It's an old barn conversion from the 1850s, so it's got a lot of character. It's adjoined to the next property but you have your own space.

It sleeps ten people. Five bedrooms, three bathrooms. It has a 4 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and comfortable. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs. Speaking of which, you can bring up to two.

The local pub is about a hundred yards away. They do good food. The village has a duck pond and some nice walks right from the door.

Pickering is four miles. It's a proper market town with shops and cafes. You can get the North Yorkshire Moors Railway steam train from there. It goes through Goathland and into the Esk Valley.

For days out, the coast is about half an hour's drive. Whitby is 18 miles, Robin Hood's Bay a bit further. York is also within an hour. North York Moors National Park is right on the doorstep for walking.

Inside, there's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. All the bedding and towels are included. You've got WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, a dishwasher. There's parking and a BBQ in the garden. We can provide a cot and a highchair if needed.
