Horcum View
Horcum View is in the middle of Lockton village. It's a bungalow, so all on one level. You get a view out the front over the fields towards the moors. It's quiet up here. Sometimes you can hear the steam train from the valley.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The garden is a patio area, a nice spot when the sun's out.
The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's a woodburning stove for cosy evenings. Parking is right outside.
You can bring dogs, up to two.
The pub is about a mile away. The nearest shop for a decent shop is in Pickering, about six miles. The steam railway is a big thing here. You can get on at Levisham or Grosmont. Worth doing.
Pickering is your main town. Has a castle and the market. Goathland is about 20 minutes away, that's the Heartbeat and Harry Potter filming spot. The coast at Whitby or Scarborough is about half an hour's drive.
