Ryburn House
Ryburn House is in Thornton le Dale. It's a small cottage on the main street through the village.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place so it's comfortable and well looked after. There's an open plan living room and kitchen downstairs, with a wood burner. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine.
You share the back garden with the cottage next door. It’s enclosed.
The stairs are steep and narrow, just so you know. They're original.
Everything you need is a two minute walk. There's a pub, a couple of cafes, a bakery, and a village green with a duck pond. The village was on that TV show, Bangers and Cash, and you can visit the auction showroom if you're interested.
For walking, you can start right from the door. Dalby Forest is very close for more trails, cycling, and that sort of thing. It's run by Forestry England, so their site has good maps: Dalby Forest.
Pickering is about three miles away. It's a proper market town with shops and a castle. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway steam train runs from there to Whitby.
Whitby is about a 30 minute drive. The coast there is good. Robin Hood's Bay is also within half an hour. If you've got younger family, Flamingoland is about 20 minutes away.
The bedding and towels are provided. There's parking for one car on the street outside.
