Peartree Farm Cottages

Right, Peartree Farm Cottages. They’re in Ebberston, in North Yorkshire. It’s a quiet village on the edge of the North York Moors. You’re on a farm, but they're converted stables. Two cottages side by side, but you’ve got your own place.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, which is about right. It’s comfortable and clean, not luxury. Everything you need is there. The shower is a walk-in one, which is good. Downstairs is all open plan: kitchen, living area, and a door out to the patio.

Outside, you’ve got a private patio with a garden area. It’s not huge, but it’s yours. Parking is right outside.

For facilities, it’s got a washing machine and dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.

The local pub is about a ten minute walk. It does food. The nearest shop is in the next village, about a mile and a half by car.

Location wise, you’re set for getting out. Pickering is about seven miles away. That’s a proper market town with the North Yorkshire Moors Railway steam trains. Dalby Forest is very close, maybe a ten minute drive. Lots of walking and cycling trails there.

The coast is about half an hour's drive. Scarborough, Filey, Whitby - you can pick your day. Whitby’s good for the Abbey and the Dracula stuff. If you head inland, you’re straight onto the Moors for walking.

York is further, about 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic. But it’s doable for a day trip if you fancy it.
