Willowfield Cottage
Willowfield Cottage is in Thornton le Dale. It sleeps four, in two double bedrooms.
The cottage is a five star, which means it's been done up nicely. There's a lot of original artwork and handmade bits inside. The main thing is the garden. There's a Swedish hot tub in there, heated by a log burner, so it smells like wood smoke. You've also got a barrel sauna and a pizza oven that runs on charcoal.
Inside, there are two living rooms, each with its own wood burner. The kitchen is modern and has some extra things, like a bread maker and picnic sets. One bathroom with a bath and a separate shower cubicle.
The stairs are fine. There's a cot, a highchair, and a stairgate if you need them. Parking is on site. No pets.
You're right in the village. There are independent shops, pubs, and a couple of tearooms about a minute's walk away. For bigger shops, Pickering is a few minutes' drive.
You're well placed for getting out. The North York Moors are right there. Dalby Forest is about a ten minute drive. The steam railway in Pickering goes to Whitby, which takes about an hour on the train. Scarborough is about half an hour by car. Flamingo Land theme park is twenty minutes away. York is about forty minutes.
