Eden House Holiday Cottage
Eden House is a holiday cottage in Pickering. It's a Grade II listed building so it's old and has some character. For two people.
It's been updated inside. Downstairs there's a living room with a wood burner for cooler evenings. The kitchen has what you'd need. There's a dining table and a sun room with some chairs, then French doors out to a small, enclosed patio. It gets the sun and looks down the owner's private walled garden.
Upstairs is the bedroom. It's got a king-size bed and the ceiling is vaulted. There's an ensuite bathroom with a power shower over the bath.
You can park at the back of the cottage. When you come back from a walk, you can cut through the garden to get to your door.
Pickering town centre is a short walk away. There are shops, cafes, a few restaurants and pubs. The North York Moors Railway station is there too. The steam trains go from Pickering up to Whitby.
You're right on the edge of the North York Moors. Good walking and cycling from the door. Dalby Forest is close by, maybe a ten minute drive. They've got miles of trails for walking and mountain biking. You can hire bikes there.
The coast is about a half hour drive. Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay are the main ones. Scarborough is a bit further south.
If you want to go further, York is about 45 minutes by car. There's also Castle Howard, which is a big stately home about twenty minutes away.
It has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and bedding and towels are included. There's bike storage if you bring yours. No pets.
