New Meadows Cottage
New Meadows Cottage is in Pickering. It's attached to our house, so you'll hear us next door sometimes. We're here if you need anything, but we'll leave you alone.
It's all on one level, which is handy. There's one bedroom with a double bed and an en-suite shower room. It's got a three star rating. That means it's comfortable and clean, not luxurious. The living room has patio doors that open onto your own little private patio. The main garden is shared with us, but you've got your own bit to sit out in.
You can bring two dogs. There are good walks straight from the door and lots of dog-friendly pubs about. The kitchen's small but has what you need: a countertop oven with a two-ring hob, a microwave, kettle, and toaster.
It's about a fifteen minute walk into Pickering town centre. There are shops and a few places to eat. The main thing here is the North York Moors. You can drive into the national park or get the steam train from Pickering station. It goes to Whitby via Goathland.
If you fancy the coast, Whitby and Scarborough are about half an hour's drive. Dalby Forest is close by for cycling or walking. For a bigger day out, Flamingoland is within half an hour.
Facilities are straightforward: WiFi, TV, parking right outside, bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
