Beverley House

Beverley House is in Thornton-le-Dale, in the North York Moors. It's the first house on the right on the main street. The cottage sleeps six in three rooms. Two are kingsize beds, and one is a bunk room with a double bed on the bottom and a single on top. There are two shower rooms, one on each floor.

It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything works and it's comfortable. The kitchen is modern with a dishwasher. You get a washing machine, towels, and bedding. The WiFi is fine.

The garden at the back is shared with the house next door. It's a small, enclosed patio area with seating.

Thornton-le-Dale is a very pretty village. There's a stream and a duck pond. You're a couple of minutes' walk from a bakery, a couple of cafes, a shop, and a pub. It gets busy with visitors in summer because it's so picture-perfect.

For walking, you can step straight out onto the moorland. Dalby Forest is about a ten minute drive. It's good for cycling and walking trails. North York Moors National Park has all the maps and information.

Pickering is three miles away. That's where you get the North Yorkshire Moors Railway steam train to Whitby. Whitby is about 40 minutes by car. The coast there is all good: Robin Hood's Bay, Sandsend, Runswick Bay. Flamingoland theme park is roughly 25 minutes away towards Malton.

No pets, I'm afraid. There's parking for one car on the driveway.
