Brookside House

Brookside House is in Pickering. It's a terraced house, whitewashed, right on the road through town. You've got a private drive for parking, which is useful.

It sleeps six from three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one's a shower room downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The stairs are normal.

The Black Bull pub is directly over the road. They serve food and have a fire. It's handy. Pickering town centre is about a mile and a half away for shops and the like.

The North York Moors are right on the doorstep for walking. Dalby Forest is about a 20-minute drive, good for cycling and walking trails. The North York Moors Railway steam trains start in Pickering and go all the way to Whitby. It's a proper day out. Whitby and the coast are about 45 minutes by car.

For history, Castle Howard is about a 25-minute drive. Helmsley Castle is similar. Malton, which calls itself Yorkshire's food town, is about 20 minutes away.

The house has an enclosed garden with a patio and a big conservatory you eat in. There's an open fire in the living room. We leave wood for you. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included.

It's wheelchair accessible at the entrance and the ground floor is level. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.

You can bring two dogs. There's a fenced dog exercise field about ten minutes' walk away.
