The Workshop is in Middleton, near Pickering. It's a converted barn for two people. It's on its own, next to another cottage we own called The Old Dairy.
It's a 5 Star place, which means it's well finished and has good facilities. Inside, it's all one big room. Kitchen, dining, sofa area. There's a wood burner for colder nights. Glass doors open straight out onto the patio. The bedroom has its own bathroom with both a walk-in shower and a separate freestanding bath.
Outside, there's a private hot tub under a gazebo. A barbecue and garden furniture too. The view is over fields. It's quiet.
The location is good. You're on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Pickering is a few minutes away by car. It's a proper market town with shops, a few cafes and pubs. From there, you can get the North Yorkshire Moors Railway steam train to places like Goathland or Whitby.
Whitby is about a 30 minute drive. It's got the abbey, the harbour, and fish and chips. Scarborough is a bit further, maybe 40 minutes. For a big historical day out, Helmsley Castle and Rievaulx Abbey are within half an hour.
Facilities: it has WiFi, a smart TV, parking, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
