The Workshop
The Workshop is in Middleton, just outside Pickering. It used to be a farm building, so it’s a single-storey barn conversion. It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It’s got a 5 Star rating, which means it’s well finished and has things like underfloor heating.
The main room is open plan. Kitchen, dining area, sofa. There’s a wood burner. The doors fold back completely, which opens the whole room up to the patio. The bedroom is off that main space, with an en-suite. The bath is one of those freestanding ones. There’s a separate shower too.
Outside, there’s a patio with a hot tub under a cover. The garden is enclosed. You look straight out onto fields. It’s very quiet.
You’re about half a mile from the village. There’s a pub and a shop there. Pickering is two miles away. That’s where you’ll find the supermarkets, a few cafes, and the station for the North York Moors Railway steam train.
You’re right on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Good walking straight from the door. By car, you can be in Thornton-le-Dale in about five minutes, or Helmsley in twenty. The coast at Scarborough or Whitby is about forty minutes’ drive, depending on traffic.
Facilities: it’s got WiFi, a smart TV, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There’s parking right outside. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
