The Old Dairy is in Middleton, just outside Pickering. It's a converted barn, detached. You look out over fields.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms, and has two bathrooms. One is ensuite to the main bedroom, the other is a family bathroom. That one's got a separate shower and a freestanding bath. The second bedroom has a zip-link bed, so it can be a super king or two singles.
The main room is all open plan: kitchen, dining, living area. The doors fold right back so you can open it up to the garden. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings. The kitchen has a dishwasher, and there's a utility room with a washer/dryer.
Outside, the garden is enclosed. There's a table and chairs on the patio, a BBQ, and the hot tub.
You're about half a mile from the village shop and pub. Pickering is a couple of miles away. It's got a good few cafes and shops, and that's where you get the North Yorkshire Moors Railway steam train. It goes up to Grosmont and Whitby.
You're right on the edge of the North York Moors. For walks, you can just head straight out from the door. The coast, like Whitby or Scarborough, is about a 45 minute drive.
We accept one well-behaved dog. There's parking for two cars on the gravel drive.
If you're looking into the area, these sites are useful: North York Moors National Park and National Trust Yorkshire.
