Meadow View Cottage
This is Meadow View Cottage. It's on the edge of Middleton, which is a village just outside Pickering in North Yorkshire.
The cottage sleeps four. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well put together. It's a semi-detached place. You get a decent garden that looks over the fields, hence the name.
Inside, it's been done up nicely. The kitchen has a table and the living room has sofas. Upstairs, the main bedroom has a four-poster bed. The second bedroom is a standard double. The bathroom has a shower over the bath.
In the village, there's a pub that does food and a tearoom. Both are a five or ten minute walk. Pickering is about two miles away. It's a proper market town with shops and a castle. The North York Moors steam railway starts there. You can get it to places like Grosmont and Whitby.
For getting out, you're right on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Good walking from the door. Dalby Forest is about fifteen minutes by car for cycling and walking trails. Go Ape is there if that's your thing. Malton, which has a food market, is about a twenty minute drive. Castle Howard is around twenty five minutes away.
The coast at Scarborough or Filey is about half an hour's drive. Flamingo Land theme park is about ten minutes away.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There is parking. No pets, sorry.
