Hudson Cottage is in Newton on Rawcliffe, right on the North York Moors. It's one of a pair of old railway cottages. The steam trains still go past, which is quite something to see.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, which is a double with an en-suite shower room and a twin room. There's also a family bathroom downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. The stairs are steep, like most old cottages.
There's an enclosed garden with a patio and seating. The owners keep a little honesty shop with treats and things like disposable barbecues you can buy. They've also put bike racks out for cyclists.
You're right on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. The view from Saltersgate over the Hole of Horcum is about ten minutes away by car. For a pub, The Horseshoe in Levisham is a mile away and does good food.
The coast is about half an hour's drive. Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay are the main spots. The moorland railway runs from Levisham station into Whitby if you fancy the train. The National Railway Museum in York is under an hour away if the railway theme grabs you.
For facilities, it's got a wood burner, a dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
You can book it together with the cottage next door if you've got a bigger group.
