Flo's Place

This is Flo's Place in Pickering. It's a semi-detached house on a quiet cul-de-sac. It's newly decorated and feels like a normal home, just not ours for a bit.

It sleeps five in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The garden is enclosed and gets the sun in the morning. It looks out over fields. There's off-road parking on the drive.

You can walk into the town centre in a few minutes. Pickering's got the usual shops, cafes, and a few pubs. There's a market on Mondays. The castle ruins are worth a look. The main thing here is the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. The steam train goes right from Pickering to Whitby. It's a good day out. They do a Santa special in December.

You're right on the edge of the North York Moors. Good walking country. Dalby Forest is about 15 minutes by car for walking and cycling. Flamingo Land is even closer, just down the road if you've got kids.

For a day trip, you can drive to the coast. Scarborough is about 45 minutes. Malton is 20 minutes the other way, they call it a food town. Castle Howard is about half an hour's drive.

Inside, it's straightforward. There's a living room that leads to a dining area with doors to the garden. The kitchen is separate. There's a downstairs toilet. Upstairs, the bedrooms are a double, a large twin, and one with a small double bed. Everything you'd expect is there: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
