Cherry Blossom
This is Cherry Blossom. It's a one-bedroom cottage in Thornton le Dale, right in the middle of the village. It sleeps two.
It's a 5 Star place, so it's well looked after and comfortable. It's built from Yorkshire stone and sits in the garden of our main house, Cherry Garth. You get the patio and garden area to yourselves. There are cherry trees around the edge.
The living area is open plan. There's a wood burner, which is good for cooler evenings. You get a welcome pack with tea, coffee and biscuits when you arrive. The bedroom window looks out over a paddock where we sometimes have sheep.
The village has a shop, a couple of pubs that do food, and a bakery. It's a nice spot for just pottering about.
For getting out, you're right on the edge of the North York Moors. If you want to go on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, you can get on at Pickering, which is a mile away. It goes to Grosmont and Whitby. Whitby is about a 25 minute drive if you go direct. Scarborough is about 30 minutes in the car.
Inside, you've got a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's bike storage if you need it. We can take one well-behaved dog.
