Cow Pasture Cottage is in Ebberston. It's a small village just off the main road between Pickering and Scarborough. The cottage is detached, next to our house and the caravan site. You can't see the caravans from the cottage, though.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star cottage, so it's clean and comfortable but not luxurious. Everything works. There's a washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included.
There's a stream that runs through the village, past old stone walls. The garden looks over fields, hence the name. If you're here in spring, the daffodils along the stream are nice.
The village pub is about a five minute walk. It serves food. The nearest shop for groceries is in Allerston, about a mile and a half away.
You can walk straight from the cottage into the woods, and that path leads right up into Dalby Forest. It's part of the North York Moors National Park. There are miles of walking and cycling trails. You can hire bikes up at the forest centre.
Scarborough is about a twenty minute drive. It's a classic seaside town. Whitby, Filey, and Robin Hood's Bay are all within roughly half an hour. Pickering is ten minutes away. That's where you get the North Yorkshire Moors Railway steam train to Grosmont and Whitby.
No pets, sorry. And because of the way it's built, it's not suitable for people with significant mobility issues.
